Whenever you are convicted of a moving violation in Wisconsin points will be added to your driver’s license. If you are on probation, the points you earn are doubled. When your point total reaches 12 or higher within 12 months your license will be suspended for 60 days. Some infractions and their point values are:
• Failure to give aid after an accident – 6 points
• Weaving in a traffic lane – 4 points
• Failure to dim bright headlights – 3 points
• Depriving another vehicle the use of a full lane – 2 points
